Wahl Hair Clippers Review & Giveaway

I've been wanting to try cutting my son's hair at home. Not only to save money, but he dislikes getting a haircut ALOT !Let me just say my last trip to get his haircut was a total disaster. First he refused to sit on the chair, so I had to hold him in my lap, then he did not want any part of a cape put on him so, I told her to just leave it off. Then he put his hood over his head so she couldn't spray his hair down. Once I pried his hands off of his head she was able to start cutting. He screamed and cried almost the whole time. I actually told her to just leave it since he was acting so bad, but she said oh honey we can't leave it like this ! It was half done . We tried bribes and candy nothing was working. He got so upset he even peed on me ! We were quite a sight walking out of that salon covered in hair and pee. It was not pretty ! It was a battle i'm not ready to try again anytime soon. I tried cutting his hair with scissors , but since I didn't know what I was doing it didn't turn out so great. Next up clippers ! I was sent Wahl® Color Pro™ Color Coded Haircutting Kit for review. I love that everything you need is included in this kit.

B was still not happy about getting a haircut, but he willingly went in the bathroom. I consoled while my husband wielded the clippers. There were still tears , but nothing compared to our other haircut event. The Wahl Hair Clipper did a great job on B's hair. It included instructions that were easy to follow. I feel more comfortable using the clippers than scissors again. Definitely less likely to botch it up !
Home haircutting is easy, convenient and saves money. In fact, the majority of users say they are confident using a hair clipper in three haircuts or less, the same amount of time it takes for the clipper to pay for itself. Also, a family of four can easily save $500 annually when three or more family members cut their hair at home. I think B's hair turned out pretty good !

Wahl is offering one of my readers the same clippers I was sent !
To Enter the giveaway you must go to Wahl and look around come back and tell me another of their products you'd like to have !

  10. I cut my 4 year old son's hair the week before Thanksgiving with some old cheap clippers, well I didn't realize it and the gaurd had broken off. He had a reverse mohawk that was only stubble in the center. I then had to cut the rest almost as short. I had to redo his hair 2 more times after it grew out.

  12. The Deluxe self cut would be great for my husband. He always wants me to try to trim his hair and I'm afraid to. It is amazing that this is your giveaway because I was just thinking how I would LOVE to have one of these to try to cut my child's hair. It seems so expensive to just get his hair trimmed up.

  49. The haircut disaster story is one that I experienced about a year and a half ago. And my hair is finally looking normal. In the summer of 2008, there was a week long period of 90+ degree weather. My hair was long enough to mostly pull up into a pony tail, but not quite. I was quite hormonal, with a 4 month old and just couldn't take my hair anymore.

I searched the internet for a cute short hairstyle and called my salon to make an appointment. My regular stylist was on vacation, so I went to another salon that I had been to years before. I showed the picture to the stylist and she said she could cut my hair like that. As she was cutting, I thought it was going well, but as she put the final finishing touches on my new do, I knew it was a disaster. I went home and washed my hair to restyled it to see if I could make it work- no success. My mom ended up having to even out the back- there was a complete shelf in the back and it wasn't even straight.

I asked around for a referral, booked an appointment with the new stylist and she ended up having to cut my hair shorter to make it at least presentable. I hope I never have to go through that again- 18 months of hating my hair. So not worth having short hair for the last few days of the hot weather.

  56. My son HATES having his hair cut. I attempted to cut his hair at home, just to trim above his ears and wound up cutting his ear with scissors. Then we went to Super cuts and he SCREAMED the whole time. My husband and I were COVERED in hair along with my son. Now we use clippers and have him hold them and feel them inbetween and it seems to work. I have a Wahl set but it is 4 years old and would love to have a new one!

Well, I didn't realize that she was going to be a jitterbug the entire time, and I ended up chopping of a section of her bangs on accident!
I had to take her to the salon to try and get them blended, but everyone asked what happened to her hair anyways!
From then on, we have someone else cut her hair, and she stays perfectly still, like a little angel!

I couldn't wait, so I figured my brother could do it... I mean, it was just a trim. My brother was 16ish. Not knowing better, I washed my hair, and he cut it, pulling the bangs down to trim just below my eyebrows. Little did I know that when my bangs dried they would be about 1/4 " from my hairline. There was nothing I could do. Thankfully, I was out of college and my hair grows fast! Entry#1
